Apr 16, 2016 you characterized his singles from that period a certain way. i was pointing out that, on the whole, the way you did it was inaccurate.
Apr 16, 2016 He always acts like he knows his s--- but hes one of the most misinformed people on this site. you should check his p4k page, Mr know it all culture vulture hipster ain't even allowed to review important albums. If hes lucky, pitchork will allow him to review Troy Ave's next album.
Apr 16, 2016 C2 is my favourite album but if he changed C3 (using some of the material from that period) it could have been one of the best albums of all time
Apr 16, 2016 Lmao at that f---ing liar. No you don't turn down big names on a weekly basis, I got a lot of friends in the p4k staff and all of them told me that the publication will never let "Paul A. Thompson" review important albums because of his edgy opinions.
Apr 16, 2016 lol how? literally everyone, even people who HATE wayne, admit at least one of the first three carter's was a classic. this is a horrible, indefensible opinion. its along the lines of saying kanye has had some "dope" projects but never dropped a classic
Apr 16, 2016 me too but i was in like middle school/9th grade when it was all happening and listened to other genres. and only hip hop i liked was em lol man i wish i had someone to show me the light i remember actively hating lollipop and fireman but i remember i couldnt help but add "leather so soft" to a disc i burned and listen to it on my walkman as a "guilty pleasure" (it was so dirty! haha :P)
Apr 16, 2016 You can't possibly think this is true. Maybe on hip-hop forums. Wayne pretty much gets sh---ed on across the Internet from what I've seen. Saying he was ever the best rapper in the world let alone top 10 all time would get you laughed at. Like i said before, I think the Carters range from good to great. I think his drought mixtape series is fantastic and I think most of the dedication series is very good as well but i wouldn't call any of them classics. Putting any of his projects next to The College Dropout or The Blueprint or Supreme Clientele just doesn't look right to me. I'm giving Wayne more praise than your typical hip-hop fan would so I don't know what you're getting on my case for lol
Apr 16, 2016 Please tell me when it became the norm to praise Wayne as a top 10 hip-hop artist all time? Naive because I don't think Wayne has a classic? Okay lol
