Mar 27, 2016 I think the 5-6 month album marketing cycle is a dated concept with how much social media has changed/impacted the music industry the past few years. We don't need an announcement 6 months out and singles 2 and 4 months out anymore. If done properly, I think a month long marketing campaign is ample time to promote an album properly and Eminem could certainly sell if he did one in 2 weeks.

Apr 2, 2016 I don't think Eminem would pull a J. Cole; he's too traditional and knows his fanbase pretty well. He's not Beyonce where the songs are magically deep, he would need to do something pretty crazy to be able to release on a whim. Eminem will likely release a single or 5 and then the album with an established release date.
