i don't even like kanye
just find that "music from this time period was better" and those "omg these lyrics r so s--- what a s--- artist" s--- is stale as. The Beatles are recognized as one of the greatest things to happen to music ever, but they do have some s--- songs - just like every artist. they do have some s--- lyrics - just like every artist.

I don't even like The Beatles much aside from a few songs but it's obvious the impact they left it's undeniable and to say Kanye is up in that level is idiotic no f---ing way
No way in h--- 30 years from now people will be talking about can't tell me nothing lol
I'm not saying music from a previous time was better I'm 20 not 60 or whatever I won't be driving down the street bumping Ray Charles I like whatever I like and sure lyrics do play a huge part of it but most of the time as long as it's not too bad and it's sonically appealing I can do it

Encore has higher highs but much MUCH lower lows. Em is my favorite artist, and I'm a total Stan but TLOP is better. Tbh though I'm surprised TLOP is getting so hated. There's no like super weak songs, at least for now I am still liking everything.

i don't think anyone in music will reach the level of stardom the Beatles did, ever again. Maybe someone will but in like a different way because the music industry has changed so much since that time.

i don't even like music, it sucks.
Yeah I dont think Kanye can reach their level, but like I said above it's kinda impossible for anyone to do that imo. Just because of like how different things are now. BUT that being said, I still feel like people will cause just as big an impact as them, but in a completely different way.

like lets hypothesize here, just pretend TidaL became the new go-to way to listen to music, all physical copies of albums etc become obsolete and nobody uses them. like everyone in the world is using tidal to listen to music. Jay would be praised beyond belief by everyone in the music industry for making a "better way for artists to share their work" and you can bet there'd be news headlines like "vinyl records, to casettes, to CD's, to Tidal how Jay evolved music industry." he's forever recognized as the dude who changed the trajectory of music. (again, pretending everyone loves his service) his impact on music with that, would be as big as the Beatles impact on music BUT IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT way. Like Jay isn't getting his praise from his amazing music and how much everyone loves him and how inspiring he is (like the Beatles), but his service has literally impacted the music industry in a different way, but just as big. ya feel? again this is just hypothetical tidal is s--- and so is jay z so is TLOp and so is this thread lmao GG

I understand where you're coming from and I agree that people can still be put on that pedistal but for a different reason a business reason
I don't think rap will ever be the way to go to be put on that Beatles, Jackson, Elvis level Rock (that appeals to the masses) will always be that go to way but problem is rock is so irrelevant now it'll never happen in the forseeable future and what worked then definitely wouldn't work now
