Thinking about a new PC

    and I'm out of the loop as far as hardware specs go. Should I buy prefab or take some time to research and build my own? Mainly using it as an audio workstation (FL Studio work mostly), but I'm thinking I'll wanna get into PC games too. Nothing wild like SUPER ULTRA EVERYTHING settings but something to run decent s---, prolly just indie games n whatever pc exclusives. I have a PS4 for the blockbuster releases.

    You can find good pre-built PC's on amazon for 500-800

    Realistically I could drop 2k.. but im probably thinking around 1l -1.4k mark. depends on what that can get me. Im currently on a $3300 laptop I bought in 2009. It's specs still hold up for what I'm interested in using it for but she past her prime.

    might go high end laptop again but im assuming i could build a cheaper pc with better specs. portability is maybe a huge factor now that i think of it.

    you should wait , idk what to say
    amd , nvidia releasing a new generation of video cards that will be better with like 20% than those rn at the same price

    but yeah laptop is great cuz of the portability and d--- 3,3k for a laptop , alienware? with 1k you can make a pc as good as a 2k laptop

    2k laptop means gtx 980m and with 1k you can make a pc with a 960+ i5 which is not better than 980m
