Jan 23, 2016 I don't get what's so funny? Are you autistic and just laugh at the most mundane things? Everything in that post is true. Lol, 90s hip hop destroys the output of today's, I'm not saying the music is better (which it was) just that there's more good rap albums of that time than there is now, lol. It was a f---ing golden age for chrisssake with rap albums being shat out like it was nothing.
Jan 23, 2016 You're the only one who thinks I'm trolling, lol. I mean if you're shook of debating me just get off my lawn, but please stop dropping turds and running away.
Jan 23, 2016 Your argument is literally there being more good albums released during the 90s and the 90s being called the golden age
Jan 23, 2016 Like wow d--- such a great argument Not a single song from the 90s is as classic as this
Jan 23, 2016 f---ing LOL if you don't think there were more good rap albums at that time, like even the most ardent defenders of today's hip hop would admit that 90s hip hop were just shi--ing out classic after classic. There was a realy hunger during the time to prove you were the best, unlike now where any no talent hack can blow up or become a meme. Of course there are some great rap albums out there now, no one's denying that but it was a lot more cut throat at the time. Like you really are r-----ed or must have listened to rap like a month ago if you think the 90s weren't considered a golden age in rap (barring the shiny suit era). But 94-96, f---ing christ. Only years that may compete with those not from the 90s is 00 itself.
Jan 23, 2016 LOL, I guarantee you only started dickrding camron when it became cool to like him. If you were listening to hip hop a few years ago you would be dickriding like chino xl, :mjlol, f--- out of here you poser.
Jan 23, 2016 Ah the 90s. When you didn't need a good beat to then rap incoherent lyrics over with a voice modulator to make a hit....yes the golden age of hip hop
Jan 23, 2016 Depends on what you define as old school. I absolutely love 90s rap and I think that was the peak of the genre, but anything pre-1990 (with the exception of Straight Outta Compton) is s--- to me. The rhymes and production were just way too basic back then. That's why I can't stand 95% of 70s and 80s rap. Perfect example: Beastie Boys and Run DMC. Garbage.
Jan 23, 2016 Notice how I never said this decade of rap is the best, early 00s beat out everything so hard it isn't even funny acknowledging a classic song isnt being a bandwagoner
Jan 23, 2016 Only the year 00 itself can maybe compete with the mid 90s, that year was a heavy hitter in the genre no doubt. You didn't just call it a classic, lol, you said it was a better song than any 90s song. Besides that I've seen a r-----ed trend where every KTT nonetity started acting like camron was a goat when just a few years ago he was considered a clown.
Jan 23, 2016 my exact wording was in any case ur a good troll since u got me to fall for the bait, gj
Jan 23, 2016 Semantics argument, lmfaooo. Do you think people in this thread are stupid? Maybe you're used to that slimey s--- in Rapgenius but I'd hope most people here can see through that.
Jan 23, 2016 I'm really not sure who are the worst; Those that think the Golden Age was better and discredit anything that comes out of it Or Those who think modern rap is better and discredit anything older. Simple minded folk. There is absolutely no reason why you can't enjoy everything. Hip Hop has been cranking out classics since the 80s up until 2015. And I'm sure more will follow.
