It's all about peoples own personal experience and how they take it all in, and appreciate it based on their own personal likes and dislikes based on their opinions of what makes something good or bad. One person might like Skrillex and think the overthetop bass in his songs, and wailing growling wobbles are a wonderful addition to Dubstep. Another might think it's the worst thing in the world, like nails on a chalkboard. And neither is truly right or wrong because it's subjective. All of it. Always will be, and there's no if ands or buts about it. There's no means by which to prove one thing is better than another. No set standard for anything in art. As long as you like it, do you, if not, move on? But don't constantly s--- on others for not agreeing and then start topics like this just so you can take it out on them, with no intention of actually listening to their reasons. It's insanity. I for starters, don't even listen to much rap at all. So my taste in that isn't relevant to anything to do with my music, especially since it doesn't even feature rap verses. Secondly, I don't listen to the radio at all now, so I'm definitely not specializing in it, nor have you been able to tell me how somebody like Bassnectar is radio music or even pop, since you're insinuating that's all I listen to now. And you clearly haven't heard of Bassnectar or actually heard his music? What was the point of this comment? To go "OMG, what a loser, this fool hasn't even heard of ______ group that I love and is just clearly superior music? Dude must have terrible taste!". This is just pretentious crap of the highest degree. Secondly, having listened to BoC a couple times now, the second part of your sentence doesn't even make any sense. How are they doing what I 'aspire to do but a million times better' if I don't like their music, don't sound like them, don't produce like them, and have no desire to because again: I don't like their music? That's some bad logic my friend. Lol, you might've tried. Did you actually accomplish anything other than getting a pat on the shoulder from yourself and saying 'I won'? Nope. Go back and read the thread. Disregarding the low personal insults since we're being 'civil', this is simply false. I implore people to comment on my work and tell me their honest feelings about it, I take it all into account if I so much as even slightly agree with any of it, and I doubt aside from a couple friends here, that the other 99% of the forum would purposefully avoid saying anything negative about my music to spare my feelings. This isn't some kid-friendly site where everyone's all nice to each other and it's smiley happy fun time and rainbows. People can be absolutely brutal here and mean as h---, I know, I'm one of those people when pushed far enough. And this argument of yours on my music (which apparently you still know nothing about, but wish to comment on like you do) doesn't even hold up, since my music has been on other sites and been pretty well received.
