idk i kinda like how rushed the delivery on dope sounds tbh thats why i never did it. i get what you mean tho

and i was insecure about work cuz i didnt know how people would react (that and partynextdoor) so im really glad u like

id love to make music like that w someone who knows what they're doing engineering wise lol

yeah that hook is top 5 on the tape for sure

and thanks man...i had to last minute make the vocals louder. the mix was way too quite. so im glad i did that, i think it sounds pretty good now too

i was going to write out a full thing here, but i feel like i'd be repeating myself a lot so i'll just condense it all into a couple paragraphs worth

my usual complaints regarding the mixing/eqing on your vocals and production choices. it's hard for me to give you any sort of feedback on something like this when i'm constantly turned off by the mix/generic trap type beat selection... i still really wish you'd go for your own sound as well.

i was also not feeling the singing 99% of the time... except Work. for once, i feel like your singing/upwards inflections type delivery really paid off. i just wish you'd let someone else handle the mixing and s--- like that. a track like that would be something i'd replay and come back to, it's probably the most memorable thing i've heard from you in awhile. even the production i enjoyed for what it was and how it fit. it felt memorable as well. i had been zoned out after track 1 (no offense to either of you), and was browsing twitter when it came on and I realized i was vibing and it was one of your songs because I was still on your SC listening to the tape. it was a pleasant surprise off of my initial listen

so maybe i guess what i'm saying is if you can do more stuff like Work, i'd like that. or if you could just finally drop this style you've got going on (that's distinctly not you) or at least get someone else involved for mixing/eqing/mastering/quality control... and try to work out stuff in more than one take (and cut fumbled bar takes instead of using them and over layering to hide it).. just something more professional... then i feel like i could enjoy your current work more overall... but i know you probably won't do that, and it's cool, because it's your thing. i'm just saying this as a listener, because as i said at the start, it's hard for me to give feedback like this

also i'm rushing because I'm tired/about to go to sleep, so i hope this didn't come off as incredibly dickish/incoherent
