    You say s--- like this all the time but I've never seen you back it up with anything substantial. I love Hood Politics, so I'll bite. Why, in terms of jazz history, could Kendrick not rap over this beat in any other way, even though the beat is not a jazzy beat?

    he has the highest rated hip hop album of the past 15 years and part of it is because of his amazing songwriting.

    Kendrick doesn't stick to one formula or one style. The structure of all his songs vary and the tone/voice he decides to use depends on the emotion he is trying to bring to the song.

    I don't think it's something he needs to work on or improve, it just may be that you prefer his songwriting/tone/voice on some songs more than others.
