    bruh i dont think ive even heard 50 albums this year

    thats what im sayin...even someone as into rap as me....i can't say ive even heard half the rap projects on this list. and thats not even stepping out of the genre (which ive neglected to do so for a few years now)

    so, like, its just people's bias getting them upset when in reality the people curating theses lists have put in HOURS upon HOURS of time into listening to albums we havent.

    So, like, obviously, our eyes scan for TPAB or something (and then get to typing whiny self important outbursts if you're perry), but what if TPAB was only so high in our books because we didn't hear a lot of other, equally great, s--- you know?

    the more expansive your scope is, the easier it becomes to stop overrating s---

    that's why my tunnel vision gets me into trouble sometimes (when its not setting me apart as a high class tastemaker obviously)

    I only got into Oddisee recently but it's a great album and I haven't seen anyone else mention it aside from this list.

    I think he's grown to be my favorite on MMG.

    lil herb top 10 rappers rn imo, ballin like im kobe is too good. fazoland is even better. dudes only like 19 (i feel like ill be saying this for the next 5 years lol, but anyways)

    Dead End Hip-Hop came out with their best hip-hop projects of the year video today and a couple of them mentioned it in their top 10. But yeah, I'm loving this so far.

    I hope Future can keep this run up for another 2-3 years, just went through everything beginning from Monster till DS2 (someone send me a Drake-less WATTBA) and I'm still as blown away as the first time I heard them.

    Marilyn Manson's The Pale Emperor is fantastic, sad to see it snubbed.

    Don't want to call this a hipster list and get the perry treatment, but many of the artists mentioned are pretty obscure imo

    Admittedly I haven't taken the time to listen to most of these (I assume) but not having tpab feels like a choice influenced by outside considerations. All lists are about designation and all groups use them to distinguish themselves in some way. Nothing exists in a vacuum
