Relapse = MMLP2

Masterpiece, but people underrate it because it is different than what they expected (1999-2003 style).

Also both are a little complicated, so its not catchy enough for the casual listener and in the same time can't capture the word play - internal rhymes - the complicated flow.

and I don't blame the fans, although I love both albums, but I think Em should go back without being complicated.

though i do agree the others would have been better... Marshall wanted the classic rock acid rap vibe, and rubin was the best choice for that whether you see it or not... that type of music IS Rubin.

most of the people that complain about the classic rock samples are 13 year olds who have no idea how big of an impact those tracks were because they weren't born.

and the other group is 30-40 year olds who have the mindset that Eminem needs to stick to his 1999-2003 sound, AKA stuck in the past

I like MMLP2. It's not a classic, it's not super great. I think it's good and I can enjoy it. If you can't enjoy the album for whatever reason, so be it. Its name should have nothing to do with whether you like an album or not, though.

King Mathers had potential to be his best due to the content and the actual emotion. He had things to talk about like Proof, Drugs, His kids, His marriage, Fame, Falling off.. Would of been goat

atleast you can agree the production is a gem, its honestly the most cohesive album (sonically) that eminem has released, and on top of that theyre mostly all killer beats.

f---in some songs are yikes tho lol

Alot of us don't hate the album...the haters are just the most vocal. I think naming it MMLP2 however, made expectations too high. Alot of MMLP was done high, young & wild. When you take those elements away, and have an older, sober hermit doing it, it just doesn't work.

If the title was different, Ive wouldnt compare it to the masterpiece / magnum opus / classic album The Marshall Mathers LP
I hate the name but I dont hate on the album
it was good album but not great like he used to
h--- I listen more to Recovery album than MMLP2
Rick Rubin is not a great choice for Eminem. bring back Dr Dre
