TES beats doesnt fit todays nonsense beats.
But It would be nice if Em could come back with a album where he produced almost all of them.

Well for me, I still like the production. But it just wouldn't kick on in today's age. Different sound.

I have a different opinion than most of you...Say Goodbye to Hollywood came on shuffle the other day and I still think that song sounds fantastic. Does it sound like today's production? No. However there's tons of "dated" production that I still listen to and love - Tupac's material comes to mind first, but 2004 Kanye, early/mid 90's Wu-Tang, lots of early 90's west coast music (e.g. Doggystyle) also fits this profile.

I digress...I think it's most important to pick beats that suit the artist, not the era, and the Eminem Show is a good example of that.

Sqaure Dance and SFTM still b--- idgaf what anyone says. Still love the production. Favorite Em album. I wish he'd go back to this type of production. A mixture of classic MMLP/TES type beats and The Hills/Weeknd type beats would be dope.

This is how I've always felt.

With any time period, most production styles end up fading pretty fast, so, to me, it's always important to find beats that fit that particular artist, and for producers to constantly push forward.

It's one of the reasons that I really respect Kanye West. I wasn't the biggest fan of Yeezus, but Kanye has CONSTANTLY pushed the boundaries and sounds to the next level.

Also, past styles, whether production or rap styles, end up always coming back around and can become popular again. It's a cycle.

I just hate when artists and producers focus on conforming to whatever is trendy that year. Those trends always fade.

I know Eminem gets labeled as a dated artist, because of all his pop references during the time period, but a lot of his shock value came from songs like Kim, Bonnie and Clyde, As The World turns, Stan, Guilty Conscience, etc too.
