Nov 5, 2015Proof & Em were often "beefing" coming up. The weren't on speaking terms during the whole "Slim Shady EP era". Back then, Bizarre was WAY closer than Proof as the two of them were rolling with the Outisdaz. As for Proof, he was deeply involved with his other crew, 5 ELA, that was more a Slum Village type of band (Dilla was producing for them, btw).
You should note that Proof wasn't on ATTACK OF THE WEIRDOS (Bizarre's EP) either
As for Infinite, you can't say : Proof was really instrumental in this album : he co-produced a lot of tracks (replaying the drums). He also had a skit on it.
Yeah, they had mad chemistry together (it's notble on the radio freestyles) and it's a shame their only real duet is : "Just Rhymin wit Proof", released as a vinyl.
Em was involved in "Grown man s---"', a Proof's mixtape : he produced some tracks and he's rhyming a few lines on one song (re-uses as TRAPPED in THE REUP)
But I have the sense that he was hard to get a hold of Proof and put him in the studio : he is on less tracks than anyone on the two D12 albums. Still, that's strange 'cause his output as a solo artist is huge and he had more solo projects, mixtapes, side projects than anyone in the group.
We'll never know, I suppose.
