    Ok, so Em wins the popularity & sales. CD, LR, Graduation, 808s, MBDTF >>>>>> MMLP, TES, 8 Mile soundtrack, Relapse.

    Wayne needs to be in consideration as well with the Carter series and all the mixtapes he dropped.

    Not even close to untouchable, but they are great...as are dozens of other projects in that era.

    Actually wtf is wrong with me Jay Z had classics and outkast dropped two great albums in the 2000s. Okay, em MIGHT be top 5.

    Em's biggest contribution imo was spreading hip-hop globally. Most rappers rely exclusively on domestic sales. I don't think any rapper is more multinational than him. This comes from the fact that I've interacted with Em fans on message boards for years.

    That said, look at somebody like Wayne who was prolific, reinvented the mixtape, killed Billboard, and noticeably pushed the entire genre in a certain direction.
