Oct 13, 2015 Last 10 years he gets a lot of hate (deserved and undeserved) and a lot of praise (also both deserved and undeserved) so I think it evens out.
Oct 13, 2015 I'm only making fun of you b/c of how you marginalize music you don't understand. I've contributed to the actual topic. And besides, how many times can people say "em isn't really hated, he just hasn't been good for over a decade"
Oct 13, 2015 If you're tired of hearing it stay out of it? Like why are you 4 inside your head I don't get it. And I understand the music... You literally don't know me? Do you ever wonder why you end up in so many arguments here? It's because you act like a douchey, arrogant know it all.
Oct 13, 2015 Literally everything you've ever had to say about an artist from ATL says other wise But keep deluding yourself that you actually get it
Oct 13, 2015 ?? Lol what does that even mean? I've legit never talked to you or anyone on here about any atl culture outside of maybe a page ago. You're an idiot If you're referring to thug I'd say it's safe to say me speaking about his music has 0 to do with any form of generalization surrounding atl culture
Oct 13, 2015 Are you? Can you see the post was edited? Can you see the last part? Like why assume my dislike of thugs music has anything to do with atl? Where did that come from? If you're assuming either a.) that only atl is trap rap or b.) every rapper from atl is a trap rapper YOU don't understand it. What a dumb generalization
Oct 13, 2015 Remember when he said "It is not about lyrics anymore It’s about a hot beat and a catchy hook." Yep...
Oct 14, 2015 Honestly, I don't hate Eminem. But, like others have said, it's like two totally different artists. 99-03, Eminem seemed like a pretty cool guy, he spoke his mind, was funny, and he seemed just natural. He pushed the envelope and you really couldn't predict what he was going to say or do from track to track. He used to be a clever song writer, and he had one of the best flows in hip hop. Honestly, he has some of the most innovative song concepts on his first few releases during that time period. Not only that, but he had great production, which helped him big time. Ever since? He's f---ing awkward and is just plain boring. His flow isn't catchy anymore, and he doesn't really pull listeners in. All his modern fans care about is his "technical rap skills", and as I said in another thread, if you're looking for that, just become a battle rap fan. They're much better at it than Eminem. I think he's just an average rapper now. I don't hate him, but I hate when people say he's as great as he's ever been. He's shown flashes of greatness over the last few years, but they're just flashes. It's kind of sad to me, to see someone who had it all and just pissed it away, and now that he finally gives a s---, he can't recapture it. And people can say all they want that "it doesn't bother him, he's already proven himself" but it's obvious that it definitely bothers him. I definitely hope the guy can put together one more classic that matches his first three, but I seriously doubt it.
Oct 14, 2015 He get's a ton of hate now I guess cause he is making material that most people think is bad compared to his old stuff so they want him to stop rapping. I was in school the other day and these 2 kids where talking and they brought up eminem and the conversation went like this: "are there any good white rappers?" "eminem" "dude, eminem is a joke I listened to him when I was in like third grade" "no one listen's to him anymore" I guess he has kinda lost the like "street" fanbase and now is mostly liked by stans and by the middle class when he puts out poppy songs like the monster. I personally like him still though.
Oct 15, 2015 I guess the argument for him being a joke is the fact they listened to him in third grade. That's all there is to it, they're cooler now. Mind if I ask what grade are they now?
Oct 15, 2015 Eminem is GOAT. Just f---ing wait till he dies... There will be no hate, as sad as it is to say, everyone will be on his nuts.
Oct 15, 2015 honestly I think most ppl react to eminem's r-----ed fan base rather than em's music itself. if you isolate the music (something nearly impossible to do since he's the biggest artist in the genre) he's pretty d--- impressive. his '98-'03 run is flawless and everything since then has been pretty hit or miss. gun to my head I still think he's the most talented rapper on the planet right now, he just makes some terrible creative decisions/gets awful advice. he'll forever be the most overrated and underrated rapper dead/alive--just depends which side you're on.
Oct 15, 2015 One was a senior (12th) I think and the other I know was in 9th grade. The one in 9th grade was the one who listened to him in third grade
