"Six seasons in, the Belchers have become one of America’s most beloved TV families, and we are so happy to keep them in the fold for another two seasons," said Fox Broadcasting Co. Entertainment president David Madden said in announcing the renewal news Wednesday. "Bob's Burgers is hilarious, warm, smart, inventive — critics love it, and so do fans. Loren, [executive producer] Jim [Dauterive] and the brilliant voice cast continue to surprise us in the best ways, and we look forward to seeing what Bob and the family will cook up in seasons seven and eight."

Like network and studio neighbor Family Guy before it, Bob's Burgers is also poised for a healthy syndication run. The cartoon launched in syndication and off-net reruns during the week of Sept. 21 and averaged a robust 1.2 rating among adults 18-49. That's stronger than recent syndicated entries 2 Broke Girls, Elementary and Person of Interest.
