Oct 6, 2015 His new album is going to sound like his new work. A lot of people didn't receive his new work well. Logically, it won't be received as well. He's telling us straight up that he's not gonna conform to what old fans want, he's gonna continue to do what he likes, which is fine
Oct 6, 2015 Lol @ this No one thinks cudis new music is perfect, even Cudi. He's just addressing the fact that he's chosen a new direction and anyone who doesn't like it has been warned. Nothing egotistical about that, and if his friends don't like it oh well.
Oct 6, 2015 I see what you're defending @Skippy and I agree with you overall...but I'm salty because I don't enjoy his new stuff at all. Like when Kanye made 808s and Yeezus, I wasn't dropping "This isn't College Dropout, f--- Kanye" bombs everywhere.
Oct 6, 2015 you might not be, but plenty of others have and continue to do this and it's funny because it's flipped for me. i don't like pre-808s kanye at all
Oct 6, 2015 stop straight up disregarding what I say, I phrased that wrong. he thinks his music is a lot better than it actually is, he's got people with him who will agree with him because they support him. this is also the case on Twitter, he'll block people who constantly try to tell him it's trash and then retweet all the stans. it's very close-minded but he just wants to make the music he enjoys. it's a vicious cycle with Cudi's career that has spiralled out of control to the point where he's either got people who hate his new s--- or people who absolutely love it, there really is no in between anymore because of the huge jump sonically from MOTM2 to WZRD or Indicud.
Oct 6, 2015 Source pls Ignoring haters is pretty much the MO of our generation Yeah, which he acknowledges in those tweets, stating that he understands his music is more niche and of an acquired taste now, so if you don't like it fine just don't expect him to compromise his art in a vain attempt to recapture the magic of his 08-10 era
Oct 6, 2015 I don't think he exactly admitted to falling off. It was more of him saying, I did the music I did now i'm trying something else. And by him trying something new his base fan's may or may not like the change.
Oct 6, 2015 i always respect this artists doing what artists want is better for them and better for us we don't get forced music that that they don't want to make and they keep doing what they love how they want to do it win win
Oct 6, 2015 I'm for Cudi doing whatever the f--- he wants even if i don't like it. That shouldnt be relevant to the points I'm making
Oct 6, 2015 I loved MOTM1 I really liked MOTM2 I can listen to Indicud without complaining I didn't really f--- with SF because I like it when Cudi raps/sings and, with it being 90% instrumentals, I wasn't feeling it...but it's probably really good for what it was? So, I guess he still hasn't released anything "bad" yet... ...I'll take back calling him a fuckboi until I actually hear this new album.
Oct 6, 2015 f--- THIS s--- HOW HOW HOW IN THE NAME IS YEEZUS BETTER THAN MBDTF OR 808s OR THE COLLEGE DROPOUT HOW THE f--- IS IT BETTER LYRICALLY SONICALLY FFFFFF
Oct 6, 2015 I've confused myself in this thread. IN CONCLUSION: I support Cudi forever, you're for him doing what he wants to do no matter what. He's not gonna top MOTM & MOTM2 but deliver music to his fans who enjoy all the sounds. Fin.
