Sep 22, 2015 Yeah. Theres sales and then theres sale + streams. Streaming isn't really taking off as much as you think. I think Drake doing 500k this week proves that people will still cop albums. If Drake somehow gets a couple of real hits to chart i think he could come close.

Sep 22, 2015 Barely any rapper (not talking about and ) nowdays can outsell Em on his SOLO material in 1st week.but with mixtapes and other stuff,yeah.We've seen it with ShadyXV and Soutpaw.'cause,for some people,just the name "New songs from Eminem" means nothing,they want whole album of his new songs. And we all know he doesn't put that much effort into these project,he wants to give a chance to other artists on it,Shady artists. So I'm not worried about solo material,he'll always sell good.

When it comes to selling 500k in the first week though, I think there's more of the younger generation that is all about hopping on a new Drake project ASAP, whereas it may take Em fans a bit longer to get get wind of a new project.
