Aug 14, 2015 Exactly. That has to be the case tbh. And at the same time I felt like he didn't want to be the guy to say 'okay, you're gonna wanna do exactly what you didn't on your last album.' I feel like Dre (perhaps selfishly), allowed him to find his own way or be told by someone else.
Aug 14, 2015 Yeah this proves even more that the first part of the MM verse is fantastic.. rest average. I would like to have a version where his verse ends when he starts screaming tbh.
Aug 14, 2015 I think Proof (R.I.P.) is the only guy who can tell em that the fast rap is s---. Its just cool when the fast rap have a cameo like in Rap God
Aug 15, 2015 gee so people are finally admitting Ems problem is his production? Im starting to feel like f---in Nostradamus or something.
Aug 15, 2015 f--- yes, I enjoyed that shady XV so f---ing much. and yeah, this is one of the moments when you realize that Em's lyrics are very dependent on beats. The song might sound completely different and very dope on a good beat.
Aug 15, 2015 the more I listen to this the more I sad I get that Em doesn't use these beats anymore... the production could either make or break the next album
Aug 15, 2015 I'd love nothing more than Dre to be all over Eminem's next album. His songs are so badly mixed nowadays too, Dre sorts that s--- out. Unfortunately it seems Dre doesn't give a f--- about Eminem anymore. For Medicine Man you would expect them to be in the studio together, working together and bouncing ideas off each other. All Eminem did was send verse after verse, as if Dre was Tech N9ne or something. Him being a recluse is not helping. This. His beat selection is awful nowadays. I liked the Medicine Man beat though, and love the verse still.
Aug 15, 2015 I love Medicine Man too, but hearing it over the Lose Yourself beat really makes me realize that it's not really a flow problem nowadays, but a beat/mixing problem.
Aug 16, 2015 I wouldn't say he picks the ones Em uses... but he definitely controls what beats do and don't reach Em.
