Jan 10, 2016 It's crazy that we'll never really know what happened. For all we know Suge might've had Eazy beat down and r---d. Maybe that's how he got HIV? We'll never know. I'm sure even if that did happen Eazy would've been so embarrassed he wouldn't have told anyone.
Jan 10, 2016 By the way the unrated director's cut has some interesting scenes that were cut out of the theatrical version. It shows Dre and Snoop smoking together in a low rider and that's how they come up with the album title The Chronic. It also shows Eazy and Tameka get married in the hospital. And Dre calling Cube after Eazy dies, very emotional scene as Cube was at home playing with his kids when he got the news.
Jan 12, 2016 For anybody looking to buy this next week Target is gonna have an exclusive steelbook edition.
Jan 12, 2016 I think it's the same thing as the unrated director's cut but it has the collector's edition packaging with pics from the movie inside. Price is $22.99.
Jan 12, 2016 Anything is possible? If Suge IS as shady as portrayed then it would be a hella funked up move. From what I remember, Eazy was getting some of the Death Row money. I believe the release from Ruthless had some stipulations attached. But REAL CALI GANGSTA ish ain't nothing to funk with. SUGE IS TRUE CALI GANGSTA. EAZY WAS TRUE CALI GANGSTA. Early 90s was h--- for us here in Southern Cali. When all the dust settled, that whole situation killed the Coast on a national scale for some time. Dre transcended that s--- by literally distancing himself from the heart of the drama without selling out. TRUE GANGSTAS GROW UP.... Hence Compton.
Jan 19, 2016 Copped the Blu-Ray at Best Buy, came with a free shirt. Don't know when I'm going to watch it though. Lots of other things I need to watch.
Jan 20, 2016 s--- got me thinking, what if eazy never died and NWA linked back up. Could you imagine a 16-18 track album full of song's like chin check? Or if s--- never went bad and they made eazy, cube,Dre,snoop & the doc in one group.
Jan 20, 2016 Yes. It shows Dre and Snoop smoking together in a low rider and that's how they come up with the album title The Chronic. Shows Eazy and Jerry having lunch talking about putting out solo albums by Ren and Eazy. It also shows Eazy and Tameka get married in the hospital. And Dre calling Cube after Eazy dies, very emotional scene as Cube was at home playing with his kids when he got the news. Side note: just realized the guy that walks into the studio and introduces Dre to Snoop is supposed to be Warren G. He's in the smoking chronic scene too. The bonus features are pretty cool too. All four remaining members of NWA are interviewed. So weird seeing Dre actually do something. He was very hands-on in the making of the movie.
Jan 20, 2016 They were planning on doing a reunion album in the early 2000s with the remaining four members and Snoop filling in for E. Wish it would've happened. Would've been so epic. Dre was at his peak as a producer at that time.
Jan 20, 2016 One thing I was wondering watching this: so Dre and Eazy never wrote their own lyrics right? If so who wrote their lyrics after Cube left? Did MC Ren write the entire Niggaz 4 Life album? And after Dre left NWA who wrote his Deep Cover and Chronic lyrics? I'm guessing Snoop?
