Aug 13, 2015 Yea I love his reviews. I'm going to see this with a group of friends tommorow night. Can't wait.
Aug 14, 2015 fantastic movie my only complaint is that hey didnt really touch upon Eazy's solo career after NWA broke up
Aug 14, 2015 HOLY s---!!! If you're into NWA at all or anything about this movie, f---in GO SEE IT IN THEATERS! Heard someone mention a f---in cam rip, are you kidding me? Jesus, there's music playing throughout a lot of the movie and it's an amazing movie, see this s--- in theaters preferably with some fancier sound system or screen to go with it. My first reaction is.....it's one of my favorite movies ever. I love NWA though so some of you may not enjoy it quite as much. God what a f---in movie, gonna see it again next week probably. My only small complaint was gonna be *major spoilers ahead about the ending and other stuff* Spoiler that they ended with Dre leaving death row and starting aftermath instead of the eazy death scene which I thought at the time would have made more sense since it's an NWA movie...But then I thought about it and was okay and actually happy with the actual ending cuz 1. it ends on a bit of a positive note since we know what Dre does from there, plus Suge looks like an a------ throughout the movie and 2. This was after Eazy died so they had to show it after, not before...My absolute perfect ending would have been them recreating the time they got back together and performed chin check, but I knew they wouldn't do that. That whole Eazy in the hospital scene was f---in brutal man, definitely very sad..Also I didn't remember that he died right when NWA was planning on getting back together, god d---.. Also stick around for the montage at the end during the credits, it's the s---. After the credits rolled, someone in the theater yelled 'f--- the police' to which another 5 or 6 people said it too lol,. I think this movie came out at a great time for it to be huge, and a lot of people are probably seeing it cuz of the police brutality in the news lately and they're anti-police, I enjoyed that part of it but definitely liked it more for the history and the moments from the artists I'm fans of. One of my biggest complaints before I saw the movie was how long it was, I HATE long movies....But I didn't notice it one bit here, in fact it felt only like 90 mins or less to me..Can honestly say I was interested in the movie every single second.
Aug 14, 2015 Its been a long time since I went to watch a movie at the movie theater but this was well worth it. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Dont want to give away any major spoilers but here what i took away from the movie. I didn't grow up in that N.W.A era, but this movie clearly helped me get an idea of what it was like to live through that time. Which isnt so different than today with all the police brutality happening in today's world. Made it much more relatable and therefore enjoyable. I really enjoyed Eazy E's character and thought it was well played. For the most part i thought everyone did a well job depicting their character with maybe the exception of Suge Knight. I didn't think it was bad, it just didn't feel as genuine as the others. Harder for me to buy into the character of Suge. You got to see the making of alot of the hit songs within the movie such as, f--- The Police, Nuthin but a G' Thang, and my favorite Boyz in the Hood which had some people laughing during the scene where he first jumped in the booth. Obviously the main focus of the movie was N.W.A but they did focus alot on Dr Dre after the breakup and his involvement with Deathrow Records. It was very emotional towards the end when it finally came to a closing. Credits were good, so dont leave early.
Aug 14, 2015 Glad to see a lot of people enjoyed it. I just saw it tonight and d--- it was well worth the money. I loved it. It felt very genuine and was entertaining. I laughed a good number of times.. and shed a tear a couple times too. I definitely recommend it. I'm buying this when It comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray. Also like @Serg said stick around after it ends. The credits are really f---ing dope. 9/10.
Aug 14, 2015 Would be cool if there was a hidden post credit scene in this (like they do in Marvel movies) where they show Dre meet Eminem for the first time. Have Marshall play himself in the infamous yellow jumpsuit.
Aug 14, 2015 I want this guy to do Black Panther, also I get coasted over the whole beef with Dre and Eazy?
Aug 14, 2015 I can't see the movie in theaters because my parents won't let me because it's rated r anyone got a camrip
