    Saw it last night
    Southpaw feels more like a sequel. not enough time to care about the actors
    the paste of the film is like every boxing movie we ever saw...
    its not a bad movie, but its not great.

    I saw it tonight. It was great. Predictable but it was executed well.

    Fantastic. Saw it yesterday and I'm still feeling in the boxing mood that you get after watching a Rocky movie.

    Predictable and full of cliches, but it works. I enjoyed the script, fighting sequences and the acting. The acting is great. Would probably rate this about a 7.3

    Warrior     (2011) is a million times better than this though, if you're interested in similar movies to watch.

    Will never really understand how people who have actually seen works of art in film can ever reduce themselves to watching mediocre cash-ins like this.

    Great movie havnt seen a good boxing movie since The Fighter, Warrier wasnt good. You usually know how a sports movie will end so dont know why people are moaning at that, like we didnt know Rocky was going to beat Clubber Lang in the end. Great acting all round too and the story with the kid made it different from the usualy boxing films
