    Honestly, there's nothing inherently wrong with picking either artist. However, the main problem with this debate is that I will guarantee you that most of the people who are picking Eminem haven't listened to Thug's discography as extensively as the people picking Thug have Eminem's. Em is a much more popular artist who's been around longer, so of course most rap fans will be familiar with his discography.

    anyway being a trap artist isn't all that drives me away from it. In general, I'm just not a huge fan of his music right now. That could change as time goes on, but as of right now I'm just not. I'm sure that any Young Thug fan could argue he's been better than Em. I never denied that. I never even said who's the better artist, I just said who I'm personally in to. Thugger could be better, but that's all opinionated. I won't jump in and argue who's the better artist because I haven't listened to enough of Young Thugs' discog to formulate that opinion, but right now I'd rather listen to Eminem than Young Thug. That's all.

    because they lead to a more cohesive project. if you dock points off for content, style, etc, right out the door, then you're being bias.

    if you put bias aside to see how well it was EXECUTED, then you're being critical. or at least thats how i work as a critic.


    how well they executed their specific styles. even when em is rapping about raping little girls, there are certain songs that work better than others, no?

    Exactly. I completely agree, and that's exactly why I picked Eminem right now. I've heard some of Young Thug's music, but not enough for me to decide whether he's the better artist in general. So really I can't say Eminem is better than Young Thug overall and vice versa. All I can say is that given the Thug songs that I HAVE heard, in comparison, I'd rather listen to Eminem.
