    The Sopranos is easier to get into for most people, but I'd say The Wire is a better show overall. Not that that takes anything away from the Sopranos, because both are top three serial dramas of all time. You won't go wrong either way.

    Will add though that The Wire is probably one of the most detailed tv series in existence.
