May 15, 2026That’s definitely true. I’ve just been on a journey of finding myself lately. I used to think if I went to a better place I’d escape my problems, but they always followed me no matter how nice the place was. Any sort of expensive excursion wasn’t fulfilling. I had to realize that fulfillment comes from within. Heaven comes from within. All the answers you need are inside of you. It took me a long time to truly believe that, but once I did I solved a lot of my problems and now I feel content no matter where I am even if it’s in the middle of nowhere. So that’s why I tend to value material stuff over things like vacations.

Where do you spend (more) money on?
Some like stuff like cars, expensive clothes, a big house, all kind of technology etc etc.
Others prefer spending it on vacations, dinners and stuff like that.

The craziest parties are usually for weddings actually. The bars are so overworked during them lmaoOrdinary Joel, Michael Myers and Ripper Roo like this. -

aside from the bare necessities, i mainly just buy books tbh. Most aren’t too expensive, so it really isn’t that expensive of a hobby.
For memories, I usually only spend if it’s a social occasion (hangouts with friends, family outjngs, dates, etc).Ordinary Joel, Michael Myers and Ripper Roo like this. -

g.d. this is deep. You're right though.
For the record going on holidays isn't about luxury for me. Excursions and s---. If anything most of the countries I visit have less luxury than my own country. Holland is one of the most
luxurious countries actually lol.
I feel at home at countries like Mexico or Costa Rica (or even Spain) because life isn't moving so fast over there. People aren't that worried about stupid s--- like over here. Like how much we make, how much we have, planning our lives 24/7 lmao. It's exhausting sometimes. Being in countries like that it shows me it can be different. And I really, idk, can relax over there. I know that's the goal of vacations in a nutshell but visiting those countries just feels different for some reason.Yeez, Ripper Roo and Ordinary Joel like this.
