Jul 8, 2015 I mean, d---. It was pretty obvious Meek Mill was going to take the No. 1 spot of the Billboard 200, because he didn't have much competition outside of Miguel and... Tyga???? Sorry for even trying to joke. Meek Mill officially sold 246,000 copies of Dreams Worth More Than Money. Read that back. TWO-HUNDRED FORTY-SIX THOUSAND. According to Billboard, 215,000 of those are traditional sales, and the rest are from streams of the album. This isn't a post critiquing his work, but no matter how good or not-so-good you think Meek's new album is, his fans showed up. His debut album, Dreams & Nightmares, debuted selling 165,000, so it proves his fans stuck with him, in addition to gaining more, throughout his time in jail. Good for him. Miguel followed up at No. 2 selling 48,000 of Wildheart, and Tyga sold who really cares about how much Tyga sold of the album no one really cares about. Anyway, congratulations to Meek Mill, and here's to many more albums like this, I'm sure. *toasts* http://2dopeboyz.com/2015/07/08/meek-mill-debuts-no-1-on-billboard-200
Jul 8, 2015 Almost anyone who listens to rap in Philly loves Meek. I am surprised he sold that many but he is very loved out here.
Jul 8, 2015 he sold 20k more than nicki in actual albums sales without streams. This is d--- impressive. Only like 100k less than kendrick/cole.
Jul 8, 2015 Those are pretty solid first week numbers. Don't think the album will go platinum or anything, but possibly gold in a few months.
Jul 8, 2015 I don't give a f--- what some European has to say about rap or American vulture in general. Eat a d-ck
Jul 8, 2015 I meant on this forum! Doesn't seem like there's a lot of discussion around it for being #1 on the Billboard 200.
Jul 8, 2015 This forum in general has a pretty limited and trash music taste tbh. A part from a few users.
