    Of the new school. He just sold 216k first week, which is very impressive in this time. More than a lot of rappers who you would think were more poppin than Meek. Hottest street rapper out right now. Dropped a very solid sophomore album. His mixtape catalogue is respectable too.

    That's so wrong... Unless he gets himself in trouble, his ability to make bangers will keep him relevant. And if he maintains his relationship with Nicki Minaj that'll help too, although that's unlikely.

    His new album is really really good. He deserves to have the #3 rap album this year.

    Meek isn't a top 5 rapper based on how good he is. Meek is just a street rapper, makes bangers and that's it. Im a huge fan of Meek too but he's not in the likes of Kendrick or even Drake if he stops bullshitting.

    Pretty much how I see it. They're 2 different types of rap really. Like to me, I like to get amped up/pumped often for my lifestyle (Trying to get my fitness up and been hitting gym lately.) No f---ing way i'm going to listen to Kendrick preach some intellectual meaningful lyrical s--- over a slow beat and there's no way I'm listening to Drake talk about girls/relationships/his woes when i'm in that mind state. Meek Mill rapping over a beat that samples Mozart? f--- yeah :to:

    Yeah like I said I am a huge fan of Meek and like most of his music but in no way he is a top rapper.

    All I wanted was a new mercedes......

    Drake is much more talented than Meek Mill but I'd rather listen to Meek Mill's current music a billion times over than Drake's

    On a number of factors. Sales obviously being important. If it was on pure quality then no meek wouldn't be.

    Real happy he's pushing those kinds of numbers Meek's had a really meteoric rise. I'd like to say his status has taken me by surprise but I knew he was gonna be a star when I heard him on the first MMG Compilation...I'm not too keen on his two retail albums but Dreamchasers 1 & 2 still get plenty of plays.
