Jul 3, 2015 whatever bro 5-6 user already told you ur argument makes no sense. Stop trying so hard no disrespect tho
Jul 3, 2015 No your mixing it up Kendrick and drake might be the best rappers or up there with the best at the moment but neither are as big as Eminem and neither ever will be
Jul 3, 2015 yeah Eminem fanboys. Like I'ma take their opinions seriously. It's all opinions and I don't think it's healthy for you guys to concern yourself with other people's opinions. Try responding with an argument on how he's bigger than Drake or J.Cole RIGHT NOW. You can't without using album sales as your main argument.
Jul 3, 2015 Kendrick and Drake are bigger and better than Em right now. 2002? Now that's an argument I can see losing as Drake is more like Jay-Z and Kendrick is doing his own thing, dropping a heartfelt album without thinking radio play. But in this moment Em is not as big as both.
Jul 3, 2015 I'm not mad, Eminem is a legend and you're comparing him with rappers with HALF of his age
Jul 3, 2015 > Try responding with an argument on how he's bigger than Drake or J cole RIGHT NOW. @ToPimpALegend how the f--- cole is bigger than Eminem right now or any time
Jul 3, 2015 The point of this thread is asking you if Eminem is irrelevant. Of course you're gonna compare him to the bigger names in hip-hop (Cole, Kendrick, Jay-Z, Drake) In my opinion, he's nowhere near popular as them right now on July 3rd, 2015, 4:50AM. Em deserves his legend status. What he did in his prime was great but this is a new generation and Cole, Kendrick and Drake are above Em right now until he proves otherwise. My profile pic is now Mick Jenkins, you gonna bring up his pitchfork score? Lmao
Jul 3, 2015 2002 f--- no. The OP is asking if Em is irrelevant. As of RIGHT NOW IRRELEVANT. Not 10 years ago, not 5 years ago. Right now. Cole just sold a million copies of his recent album, sold out every show on his tour, spoke out on social issues (pls don't try to come back with a s--- argument like "So Cole is the best because he spoke out about police brutality?" when Em is freaking white he can't do that even if he wanted to lmao), is the most universally loved rapper right now. Even hardcore hip-hop fans who liked Em a decade ago like Cole now. Only edgy hipsters hate on Cole at this point, whether you dislike his music or not he is bigger than Em right now.
Jul 3, 2015 bruh you are so delusional. just because you like cole that doesn't make him bigger than eminem. and cole is not universally loved lol. nobody knows him outside of US.
Jul 3, 2015 Eminem stans can't be this f---ing dumb. Feel like I'm on Youtube Cole sold out shows in Germany, Sweden, France, Belglum and UK less than 2 months ago. You think the million people who bought his album were all Americans? I'm not just talking about Cole, Drake and Kendrick also. Also brought up Jay-Z, Kanye, Outkast. They had more buzz last year alone than Em in the last 5 years. Seems like you guys have a fetish with Cole when I don't stan the dude. It's a new generation. Nobody cares about Em anymore, he's in the books. He never changed his style and every album after TES was the same so people lost interest. His fanbase will always support him when he drops something. He will still eat from those sales whether his album is good or awful. There is a more variety of rappers right now than there was when Em was at the top of the game. Hip-hop fans are checking for them more than Eminem in 2015, so yes, Eminem is IRRELEVANT. Good day.
Jul 3, 2015 No disrespect bro but you in fact are delusional AF if you *generally* consider Eminem irrelevant in 2015. Real talk, I'm as big a J.Cole fan as the next guy, trust me cuz he's my modern day fav rapper. I actually like his 10 best songs more than I like Kendrick's best 10 songs, and Cole+KL are the best doing it right now. However, if you consider ALL DEMOGRAPHICS of fans (by that I mean even people like my dad who's freakin 60 and my grandma who's 80 and [DeFrancoInPineappleExpress] "little kids that take s----s" [/] being raised off current young EmFanParents), he hands down is in no way *generally* irrelevant. While most-of-Sx80 and even myself basically agrees with you that endproduct-wise 2015Em<< everythingelse, there's something to be said for '98-10ish Em that wont ever be replicated in our lives IMO cheahchehahcehah
Jul 3, 2015 Eminem is not irrelevant. He is still relevant to an extent. The one thing that anti-stans do is look to criticise without a proper explanation and foundation of evidence. Em is still pretty much the World Icon and will go down as an all time great. Period.
Jul 3, 2015 I like how you guys are focusing on J.Cole and not the other names I mentioned. Regardless Em still not as big as Cole rn. Just because your dad and grandma likes Em means everybody likes Em? s--- logic. We're talking about Eminem in this day and age, not 99-02. No one will argue that. Eminem is not irrelevant in the sense that nobody is buying his albums but he's not a household name and there are other rappers that are more interesting and making better music. 10-30 year olds are not listening to Eminem unless you're an Eminem fan. Em got stale and other rappers took his spot. Unfortunately his fanbase didn't grow up and still live in 2000 so he's able to sell records. You also liked a few of my posts so your argument is even more pointless.
