Is it worth having beats just cause Kendrick and Eminem premote them?
I have the Audio-Technica ATHM50X's at the moment but might be considering buying some beats.
Worth the big price tag because some celebs use them? or are we all better off using quality products like ATHM50X's?
Thoughts?

A lot of people say beats are s---. I got one of the original studio pair's and they have lasted 5 years now. At the time of purchase, there wasn't another pair of headphones better. Sure Bose and Sennheiser had "better" but they costed more.

I don't own a pair, but I've used my friend's pair like twice. They're nice, but I'm not a big enough audiophile to really judge them. I've been fine using $12 Skull Candy earbuds for the past 4 years.

If the Studio series of Beats were like $100, I'd probably buy them. But I don't even consider spending $300+ on a pair of headphones.

yeah nah its cool, ive used skullcandy 50/50 earphones for a while they were pretty good. i just think beats are for people with money who want to be like their idols tbh, the reason i bought a pair of beats earphones was because Mila Kunis used the exact pair in a movie... haha

I think the Audio-Technica is better.
Atleast thats what i read on reviews and comparisons around the net

bass in my opinion is perfect. it isnt as strong as the beats bass so i guess if you just want mad bass they arent for you, they sound identical to what the original file was recorded like, so it dosent distort the bass at all

ive had beats executive 3 times, they broke all 3 times. so i then switched to studio 2.0, they broke 3 times. ive since switched to the top of the line pro and they are brilliant. sound quality is superb, noice cancellation is the best ive seen. i can have it at 100% volume and people cant hear it. they havent broken yet so far...
