What are the worst songs on the previous two solo albums? Won't Back Down and Survival. What did the placement of these songs stem from? The activision promotion deals. Activision gave him the ideas for the songs, and then he recorded forced ungenuine tracks scattered with terrible punchlines as an attempt to hide the underlying flaws. Shady XV was a project conceived by Paul with the idea to promote each artist signed. It's generally regarded as the label's worst album due to the last minute decision and being strewn with previously scrapped songs.

When Relapse tanked, Em became reliant on Rosenberg handling everything because he lost his confidence. If the acclaim was different, this song would've been a quality indicator for future music; as he had already lost the accent and obviously didn't care what anyone thought when he recorded it.

In retrospect, lettiing Paul take charge was the precedent of lower quality music being released. Chances are, the Southpaw OST will be another example; I hope I'm wrong though.

People always talk about how they have hope Eminem will release another classic.. but that'll never happen as long as his manager looks for every oppurtunity to cash in.

Paul is Eminem outlet to the world, and i agree that he is one of the biggest reasons Eminem is bad these days...its obvious as f--- its very easy to convince Em to do something...or to tell him "yea marshall that fack song is so funny"...i guarantee that the reason Em first 3 albums were amazing cuz Paul still didnt have a chance to f--- them up since Em still retained so much talent

Paul is interesting, he's not really the reason why Em has declined so much... But he is a factor. He's a businessman who knows em's a business. He can sell on his own name. Only Drake can so that these days. He also knows that Shady Record's is s--- financially without Em. "Love Story" flopped and "Shady XV" got bad word of mouth. Minus the boring half a--- interviews, He doesn't control Em. he's just become a huge, huge yes man. Every idea good or bad Em has, Rosenberg says yes because he knows regardless it will move units. I imagine some of these things went down like this...
Paul: Hey Marshall, I know your trying to make a sequal that closely resembles the MMLP, but we need a radio hit.
Em: Yo what about Bezerk?
Paul: Hey buddie, this isn't 2002 anymore, something the kids will like...like...
Eminem: Rhianna man?
Paul: YES! YES!
Eminem: But won't that flaw my vision? You know what-
Paul: its a great idea! People will love the appeal!
Eminem: Okay man, I'm going to have to bump a song off the LP man.
Paul: How about Groundhog's Day? No one but the underground fans would like that.
Eminem: Paul you right man! Imma call Rhianna right now...
Paul: Lets set up a meeting with One Direction for your next LP.
