    point sitll stands.

who knew being top 15 em is an infinitely better opinion than it being his worst song during his prime

    its worse than drips? really?

    the song with

"I don't do black music, I don't do white music
I make fight music, for high school kids
I put lives at risk when I drive like this
I put wives at risk with a knife like this
s---, you probably think I'm in your tape deck now
I'm in the back seat of your truck, with duct tape stretched out
Ducked the f--- way down, waiting to straight jump out
Put it over your mouth, and grab you by the face, what now
Oh, you want me to watch my mouth, how?
Take my f---ing eyeballs out and turn them around?
Look, I'll burn your f---ing house down, circle around
And hit the hydrant, so you can't put your burnin' furniture out"

    ?

During the year leading up to the release of MMLP, he was on various radio shows doing "freestyles" and this song is simply a mash up of all those.

Are the lyrics great at that part right there? Yes. Of course. It's just so boring to me and sounds uninspired. The beat is really dull , imo.

These lyrics look like they could have been on For Old Time's Sake:

I don't got that bad of a mouth, do I?
    f--- s--- a--- b---- c----, shooby-de-doo-wop (what?)
    Skibbedy-be-bop, a-Christopher Reeves
Sonny Bono, skis horses and hittin some trees (HEY!)
How many r-----s'll listen to me
and run up in the school shootin when they're pissed at a
teach-er, her, him, is it you is it them?
"Wasn't me, Slim Shady said to do it again!"

I'm in the minority. I actually like Eminem's verse on Drips. Especially this flow:

Now I don't wanna hit no woman, but this chick's got it comin', someone better get this b----,
before she get's kicked in the stomach, and she's pregnant, but she's eggin' me on, beggin' me
to throw her off the steps of this porch, my only weapon is force and I don't wanna resort to
any violence of any sort, but what's she shovin' me for, doesn't she love me no more, wasn't she
huggin' me four minutes ago at the door, man, i'm this close to goin' toe-to-toe with this
whor-, what would you do if she was tellin' you she wants a divorce, she's havin' another baby
in a month, and it's yours, and you find out it isn't cause this b---- has been visitin' someone
else, and suckin' his d-ck and kissin' you on the lips when you get back, to Michigan

At the end of the day, lets be realistic we can argue as much as we want about which song was the worst in his prime.

But lets get 1 thing straight.... there is no worst song in his prime.

What is so funny lol. I don't even need to mention featured songs. It is better than a lot of his solo songs too imo. I'm not saying it's definitely a top 15 eminem song (though it is for me) but that would be more likely than it being the worst song in his prime.

After literally minutes of internal debate, I've concluded The Kids is Eminem's worst song from his prime. It's still great though.

    That first verse is fire

Whaaaaat?! Second best song on SSLP for me behind Rock Bottom. I'm guessing you don't like the chorus?

Very hard to pick one because I honestly don't think he released a bad song as a solo artist until Encore in 2004. If I had to pick I'd probably say My Name Is. It was the first Eminem song I ever heard and when I heard it my initial reaction was "Who the f--- is this guy? Gonna be a one hit wonder for sure. I don't see what the hype is about or why anyone likes him?" Hated him and that song on my first impression. Then I heard Guilty Conscience and was like "okay maybe he's not as bad as I thought" then I heard him on Chronic 2001 and was like "okay I gotta give this guy a chance" bought his album and been a Stan ever since.

Dude "they could've been on old times sake is an awful argument"

They would've been bad on old times sake BECAUSE it's a concert he's beaten into the ground already. That's not the case on who knew

    Also I like the beat/hook

You're reaching calling it the worst, and rating tracks like drops or say what you say higher

And TOTALLY disagree with not beating that concept into the ground already. It was touched on throughout all of MMLP dealing with the aftermath of his fame and seen on much of SSLP.

While it wasn't as old as the material he touches on today, it wasn't a brand new idea even in 2000. Trust me. I was there.

I don't think any of the songs mentioned in this thread is actually bad. Because the title says worst song people seem to think the songs listed are called 'bad'.

Imo in his prime he didn't make a song that's really bad tbh. It has a lot of good/great ones , a few decent/average ones and some fantastic ones.

Exactly. My personal opinion is that I enjoy Who Knew the least of "prime Eminem" minus D12 features.

It's his magnum opus compared to part 2 of his career.

I can see that.... it's a TOTAL downer for sure. However, I see merit in it the same you way one can appreciate Kim for what it is. Raw. Only listened to on rare occasions.

If I Had is great. agree with @WPG (for a change), 10/10:

This is one of the cleverest sequencing decisions of all time, even if the juxtaposition of the first two songs is an accident. “If I Had” retains the edge of “Low Down, Dirty”, but applies it to the real life of Marshall Mathers. Even though he’s eager to rap about how ill he is at rapping, he’s “tired of not being on tour”. On paper, it might seem that starting almost every bar with ‘I’m tired’ would be a crutch. Fortunately, it plays as a restriction that forces Eminem to be more concise and conscious of the rhythm of his phrasing. The guy who will on the next track recount raping a high school swim team bitterly admits “I’m tired of people saying they’re tired of hearing me rap about drugs”.

If I Had is probably a Top 10 song of his career for me. Such a relatable song for me whenever I'm broke or depressed.

rabbit run is em on auto pilot along with most of the 8 mile soundtrack. it's the beginning of his slip into addiction, depression, and dogshit.

obviously it's a lot of young em fans on here
