Jun 18, 2015 I used to use the 10 scale, but it was more complicated than it was worth. So, I simplify the scale. * - Bad (Has little to no merit and probably no good songs) Example: Kevin Federline's album ** - Mediocre (Lacks originality and/or consistency. Has a good song or two though.) Example: I Am Not A Human Being II *** - Decent (It has a lot of flaws, but the good outweighs the bad. Good for the artist's fans.) Example: Encore **** - Good (Either a quality refined album or a would-be-great album. Recommendable to most rap fans) Example: Life Is Good ***** - Great (As perfect as can be. Highly innovative. Potential classic material.) Example: Disposable Arts
Jun 18, 2015 I don't like to get into the ratings, but I usually just say, great, good, average, or s-----y. For example: Great: To p---- A Butterfly Good: 2014 Forest Hills Drive Average: Love Story s-----y: Shady XV
Jun 18, 2015 i feel like 75% of people rate things as classic or trash I dont get too in to reviews and stuff but will usually just use 1-10 with anything 7+ as a good album
Jun 18, 2015 In the case that I have to make an exception because the album qualifies a different standard, I make a pros and cons list. I adjust the rating accordingly based on the amount written for each section of the list
