Jun 19, 2025 i love antichrist 05, i think it’s better than the new version, although i do enjoy the supersonic part. but overall, rather ironically, to me renaissance is a much better homage to antichrist 05 than antichrist 24 is. i’m sorry is incredible and should’ve been on recovery. tes vibes. ritz is one of my new fav songs. sonically amazing. again should’ve been on mmlp2, lightyears ahead of songs like so much better, monster, so far, stiw, don’t front etc. as for tradeoff, i cut out slaughterhouse’ parts and made it one em verse and its actually pretty mind boggling how dense the rhymes and storytelling and imagery are on there. freak is kinda weird, idk what to really say about it. i’m twisted on its own isn’t all that noteworthy but the way it turned into fall is pretty fascinating. marshall powers is awesome, once again flawless cadence and shows that he was working with the rough tdoss concept for a very long time. i even really enjoyed that extra minute of no regrets. follow me and jump out are occasional listens. not crazy about the deliveries on those. the accent songs are also kinda whatever, they all sort of blend together after a while. but still a lot of great lines in there. back n forth is prolly my fav of those. take it is just so good… i wish this were a complete song. it’s so cool how he recorded the intro in 08, the verse in 01 and the hook in 03. then there’s smack you. honestly i never thought i’d hear that go to sleep energy again but boy did this nail it. and he absolutely continued that with the fuel remix. i’d love a whole album that sounds like this. overall i enjoyed sftl3+fuel shady much more than tdoss, and i can see why grim was willing to become public enemy number one to share all of this with the world. although i’m still convinced em is planning a part 2 for this album, especially considering the way the storyline just trails off after head honcho, as if he finished the album there and then paul was like “you know we need some songs about rap being like a girlfriend and some about your kids right?” anyway, i’m more excited for his new music rn than i’ve been in almost a decade. so i guess that’s good

Jun 19, 2025 the way he interpolates the zeppelin and taco melodies is insane. but i’m not really surprised the samples weren’t cleared. i don’t think em is either of the original artists’ cup of tea tbh. still super glad to hear the songs. they both b--- and there’s a lot of candor in them that is otherwise largely missing from their intended albums
