Which Biggie album do you think is better?

I'm gonna go with Ready to Die. That album can never be replaced. It's one of the first hip hop albums I listened to

It's honestly impressive Big managed in his short rap career to make two very impressive essentials; one of the best hip-hop albums & the other what I believe to be the best double-disc album in hip-hop history.

Ready To Die offered the perfect glimpse of what was to come from Biggie with his cinematic story-telling and impeccable flow/delivery, boosted by great production and it's radio singles are all flawless. Life After Death showed that Biggie was changing his direction as an artist but without the loss of an identity and skills on the mic. Both discs are filled with quality tracks and make for a smooth listen without ever feeling the need to hit the skip button.

I prefer listening to Life After Death more but Ready To Die is the better album.

i'm in the minority, but life after death. biggie the rap star was his most interesting persona, if we're being honest--more so than the screws-loose struggling crack dealer. going back to cali, long kiss goodnight, notorious thugs, kick in the door, etc. his storytelling was also more refined, i think i gotta story to tell and n----s bleed could both be top-ten narratives ever recorded. ready to die is a masterpiece too, obviously.

Ready to die by a country mile.

Ready to Die is a classic son. Straight up classic.
