Hes not a superstar. Superstar means average casual music fans know who you are. Guarantee if you went up to some average 40 year old white guy in a grocery store and asked him who J.Cole is he wouldn't know. But he would certainly know who Snoop Dogg and Eminem are, for example.

I think FHD is putting Cole in that superstar category. If FNL was executed properly by his label we wouldn't be having this discussion. FHD had a smart promo run, it connected with people and it sold alot. FNL was his last project that really resonated with the masses. His last two albums I kept seeing the same responses and comments "This album was okay, but it still isn't better than FNL". IMO FHD made people forget about FNL and people really seem to enjoy this album. It has something for just about everybody.
