May 16, 2015I figured it was fake from the start after those Kendrick tracks. @Michael Scott gets carried away and overly excited with this "exclusive" stuff and enjoys the attention imo. Whenever he does one of those threads his ego is hitting me in the face lol. I know this might make you mad but I'm just keeping it real mate
I told you this in pm a while ago too
EDIT: I don't wanna offend you because I'm cool with you but i just think you should take your ego down a notch.... not many other people are gonna tell you. you just get all weird and start calling the music yours and s---. you called some guy a c---- because he doubted it was real (he didn't even do it in a disrespectful way). Unreleased music shouldn't be connected to your self-worth is all i'm saying

tldr; I'm 99% certain it's not real. @Michael Scott and @rapmuzik were not trolling, it was a mistake. It is partially my fault.
@rapmuzik mentioned in the kik chat that he possibly had some old TES demos he DL’d off Limewire in 2002-2003. We were all intrigued, obviously, as anyone who was alive at the time knows there was a bunch of weird s--- on Limewire and RM is a good dude who wouldn’t make such things up. He sends Without Me/Sing For the Moment to @Michael Scott to verify. MS thinks they are real. I ask to be sent them to verify as well. I express doubts at first, because the production didn't sound that different to me, but after hearing the super loud “b----” ad-lib on SFTM (it’s been awhile since I’ve heard SFTM and the ad-lib is VERY low so I never noticed it), I think they might be legit, but I say we have to be 100% certain before we share publicly.
Topic gets made while I was asleep. I was under the impression that the third verse of My Dad’s Gone Crazy was different lyrically, not production-wise (I had only heard Without Me/SFTM), so I was OK with it being made because I thought that confirmed it. I confirm that SFTM sounds different in the topic. Later I ask to get sent My Dad’s Gone Crazy because it was stated it is the most different. I listen and the third verse is the same (as I said, for some reason I misread and thought MS said the verse itself was different). The beat doesn't seem at all different to me. My original thoughts about the tracks is that someone had just attempted to isolate some layers, which is why the adlibs are prominent, some of the layers are turned down, and some of them are turned up so they sound like they hit harder. I only have rudimentary audio-editing skills (ie, self taught from f---ing around in garageband), but I made a comparison for SFTM. It's not perfect because I have s--- skills, but you can see how s--- like this can be isolated by someone who knows what they're doing:
1. Original
2. Alleged "Rough" version
3. Version I created from the original:

Anyway, please don't blame @rapmuzik or @Michael Scott. I thought it might be real at one point too, I figured it was just an almost completed version someone recorded during a listening sesh. It's easy to get overexcited and let the hype blind you, especially considering how s--- Em is now and how much we would all love to hear new material from his prime. But in the internet age where people are able to make very realistic fakes and there are people who take hours out of their day just to troll people into thinking they have exclusives for literally zero benefit to themselves, you shouldn't post anything before 100% confirming it with multiple people.
For future unreleased music you want to possibly share or verify: obviously, contact @Koolo and/or another moderator to help verify it. When someone shared fake chance snippets, I was able to deconfirm it in less than an hour, and it only took that long because he was drawing it out for a long time (all I had to do was post the lyrics in the topic for people to deconfirm and use soundhound to recognize the beat is from a different song). I would have been able to do this one faster if I wasn't out of town at a family's house who has s---/limited internet.
Anyway, sorry for the confusion guys. If you want to blame anyone, blame me. Never post leaks unless you're certain. Always get 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th opinions from knowledgable people you trust.SLAYAR, FiveOh1, Michael Myers and 9 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Before everybody calls me a troll over this, ATLEAST let me state my postion on the matter. Would what RM sent me sound similar to how a demo would be? Yes it would. Did the "sing for me" track's sound differ from the album version? Yes it did. Is there slurring of words, less hidden ad-libs, etc.? Yes there is. Do the orgins of the tracks match up with stories in the past regarding unreleased material? Yes they do. A small part of me believes that there is still some truth to the material, but there isn't a way to directly prove that. Here is what I was referring to. EVERYONE who had it beforehand, (including myself and minus BC) believed it was legitimate because of the difference in sound. For all those who feel like it's fake, I'm sorry I dissapointed you. For all those who love it, I'm happy to have let you heard it

please remember that this is not and was not a troll. We are just as surprised. We found out a few hours ago that they could be fake when BC took a look into them further.
if they are truly fake, please know we are REALLY sorry for getting your hopes up. TRUST me. We were just as excited as you when this was stumbled upon...Last edited: May 17, 2015 -

Lol, well my point was I don't get how it can be a 'misunderstanding' as to whether or not a verse is new in this case, but fair enough. Not a big deal.FlawlessT, Sahara, mynameismyname and 2 others like this. -

It is fake for one reason.
When Interscope released the Sing For The Moment single, the acapella version they included on the CD and Vinyl promos did not contain Eminem's lead vocal. This was a mistake on their end, that is why if you listen to the acapella you will notice many words are missing and only Eminem's backing vocals and ad libs remain. The ad lib you hear on that snippet is the word b----, it is so easy to isolate that word and turn the volume up just like it is so easy to get the instrumental and tweak it to be more bassier or have more treble at certain parts so it makes it sound like the guitar is louder or whatever and to tie it all back to the start.......what about the vocals? They are the same as the ones Interscope released by mistake so that is how you know this is fan made.
I'm sure Eminem has lots of demos lying around, lots of bits and pieces of unfinished songs but would he really do a version of that song with his own lead vocal missing? Of course not. It would have his lead vocal just like the album does.FlawlessT, DKC and Kenny LamLam like this. -
