Jay Z and Linkin Park released the Remix - EP Collision Course more than 10 years ago (30. November '04) and the track Numb/Encore, which was the only single, became huge. I think it's still dope tbh, i listened to it pretty often recently. What do you think of the song?

I think the whole collab was insanely popular but medicore as a project. Their styles didnt really mesh, it was awkward. I really liked it when i was younger though.

yeah I think the EP is good, but not more than that. I really enjoy Numb/Encore though. I heard that Metal fans hated it, because remix albums aren't popular in the metal scene obv.

This song's pretty dope, but I refused to listen to it when it came out as I had a thing against Linkin Park (Can't even remember why lol)
This is the only song from the EP I've heard so far, but I can't imagine Jay fitting with any other rock tracks. Then again, I didn't think this would be good either, so I'll have to check it out

If I'm not mistaken Jay was co executive producer on Mike Shinoda's album The Rising Tied which was a solid album. Mike wrote and produced every song too and Black Thought killed his verse on Right Now.

That's what Jay and LP should have did with their EP instead of trying to mesh their songs together. Make songs with that hip-hop vibe and have Mike and Jay trade bars with Chester on the vocals. Outside of Numb/Encore Collision Course is pretty forgettable tbh. They tried too hard to mesh their songs and it didn't sound right (Big Pimpin/Papercut for example)

No I mean Linkin Park in general, primarily this album. I was always drawn moreso to the rap side of LP and this tape received a lot of plays as a youngin.

I stayed home sick today and hearing this has got my nostalgia on going

Mike Shinoda introduced me to rap thanks to the rap side of Linkin Park.

    Bless you, Mike :sad1:
