    Its hard for all artist to remain at the same level all the time. Snoop Dogg wasnt the same after Doggystyle and he never catched that greatness he had back then

    It's very hard to stick to your first album - style-wise, topic-wise and persona-wise. A lot of rappers just fall off because they simply develop further.

    A lot of good rappers either died or fell of if you think about. Only a few have 'survived' this development and stayed true to their original personal or radicially changed if you think about it. Nas for example is very close to being himself, same goes with Kendrick Lamar. In contrast, Kanye West is always evolving.

    You just can't stay the same alter ago you've created more than 20 years ago. Talking about myself, I'd like to change some s--- I did yesterday while Snoop Dogg is regarded as the same person from 1993.

    i know its hard to stay the same but its just sad to see someone with so much talent and the skill of storytelling to do tracks like swet etc. and the one with Psy smh at this
    I dont know what happend to him but even the Doggfather wasnt the same just makes me sad to see him rapping now
    he just moved away from his roots

    yall do know that D.O.C. wrote a lot of doggystyle? that probably has a lot to do with Snoop sounding so good on this album compared to his others

    Rappers tend to dip after they have nothing left to prove or nothing left to say. Snoop got put on by a prime Dr. Dre, who we probably owe more than half of the quality of Doggystyle too. Most musicians struggle to evolve. They either stagnate or fall off. Snoop become a popstar. His persona was bigger than rap.

    Game and 50 also seem to have suffered from peaking early with Dre behind them. Suffering from success.
