Rakim. Nas. Kool G Rap. Big L. Biggie. Big Pun. Even Eminem. etc...
The point is saying things that actually make sense with a good ability to choose the words, play with them, make them sound good. Kanye doesn't know how to do this. But i'm not saying that is bad as an artist, he makes great musical choices and is one of my favorite producer of all time
