Apr 28, 2015 "rambling Eminem verse. The appearance is the first we’ve heard from Em in 2015 and it’s a characteristically jumbled bit of technical braggadocio. At one point he strings together a series of bars that internally carry "shiggy-shock" and "im-piggy-possible" and ends with, "word to the diggy doc/ Stiggy-stopping is not an option." It’s like Eminem is breaking down a complicated piece of Ikea furniture and purposefully veering away from the instructions in putting it back together. Once it all fits, it’s hard to see what the point was". why pitchfork is always salty on em for no reason
Apr 28, 2015 holy f---, this is a better ether than anything i seen in few years, and its 100% on point
Apr 28, 2015 This album won't age well at all. Not a good album Yelawolf's singing is annoying. Im actually surprised that alot on here like it so much.
Apr 28, 2015 Fair review, even though they seem against Eminem they're right about this one lol. I would give it a 7, good album
Apr 28, 2015 Yelawolfs music tends to age well, I honestly still come back to his earlier projects at least once a week. That's just my opinion off course.
Apr 28, 2015 A better review that the one Fantano did definitely but I don't agree at all. I hate when critics use the word "cringey" on their reviews. "Man this is sooo cringe" sounds like a KTT comment. Gonna give it a pass btw, he actually explains with decent arguments of why he doesn't like the record. Now, 4.9? Give it a 5.0
Apr 28, 2015 RT Critics are underrating it but its only amazing to people who listen to exclusively shady records artists
Apr 28, 2015 Wrong, i listen to a big amount of artists and i hate 80% of shady releases (Welcome to our house is the biggest waste of time and one of the most embarrasing/disappointing album i ever eard) and i still enjoy Love Story. 8/10 album IMO
Apr 28, 2015 From Shady Records I only listen to Em and Yela, to me Slaughterhouse is a waste of space tbh. Don't remember the last time I heard something decent from them.
Apr 28, 2015 Makes some good points, but clearly Yelawolf is just not an artist that the sort of writers who get published on Pitchfork will like. I've said this before -- there's a bias by the kind of rap tastemakers who fit a certain bill, and they aren't going to have their fantasies for what rap should be get disrupted
