Nice read, this is very well written. I have one problem with it though. The project is rated an 8.5 but we're given hardly any reasoning for this score; the article is written for a 9.5 or 10/10 project. It clings on to the album's many good qualities, but it feels like it refuses to delve into its shortcomings. A review should give a detailed look into both the positives and negatives that make a project what it is and I just don't see it here. I just don't see how this piece justifies an 8.5 score.

Like I said, enjoyable read though.

Only thing I can say about this is that I was gonna rate it higher lol. But you're right about focusing more giving a holistic view of the record. Anything above 8.5 or above though is undeniably great fantastic territory for me personally, so it obviously gets harder to find the flaws.

i truly hope you/pitchfork rate it higer tbh, just as a fan lol

im annoyed seeing this reviews dismiss it the minute they heard its not really his debut (as if that matters). havent seen any negative reviews but the "positive" ones are only like in the c+ 7.5/10 area.

i was just joking based off of what you'd told me. i'd give it around 8.5. i just gave notes on the pitchfork review, it's great. i'm super happy with mine (it's some of my best work, i think) but meaghan absolutely killed this.

(for the record though, a 7.5 score isn't a C+, lol)

okay yeah, im completely fine 8.5 but Id personally place it higher than Best Mode which was an 8.8 for me.

Also, I was just saying the various reviews ive seen have either been like a C+ or a 3.5/5 or something.

Thoughts on mine? Definitely going to take all the feedback about length to heart moving forward (my yelawolf review right now should be a lot more manageable). I just find it hard to restrain myself sometimes

if you ever got 10-15 mins definitely check it out m8, would appreciate the feedback of someone who doesn't like the record. ive blocked brotherman and red rum cause they're useless, but you at least gave pushback in the past
