    I actually Googled it after seeing your thread lol.

    Seems like Jay-Z came first with "Takeover" and "Nas" responded with "Ether". Then Jay-Z retaliated with "Supa Ugly"

    Appears to have started way before that with subliminal shots aimed at each other in songs.
