    Yep I agree. I'd never ever advocate for eating dog, but pigs are smarter than dogs and half the world thinks we're disgusting for eating them. But we do anyway.

    The idea of going vegetarian or vegan is def something that's becoming more appealing to me as I get older. I've been meaning to try it for a month just to see how I feel. The meat industry is f-----.

    Yes, there’s dog meat festivals in China and other countries (including other Asian countries and countries like Switzerland) and its f----- up but it’s not a characteristic of every Chinese person. It’s not like they eat dog like Americans eat cow.

    This is exactly what I said to him lol. Btw the conversation that was had with @BIGFOOT regarding China was basically on the lines of the general culture confusion like the diets & was only a passive discussion amongst general group chat s---. I’ve been studying geopolitics for over 5 years straight now in various areas so China isn’t an isolated education I’ve given myself, I am familiar with plenty of other cultures & states across the planet, this one happened to be brought up so I said my peace. As the general view of China is perceived as negative, it stands out like a sore thumb when someone tries to debate it rationally.

    Framing & cognitive dissonance.

    It’s proven the way people get extremely reactionary to any positive spin on something China-related that it’s just how we’ve been taught to view them, like what the f--- has a diet choice in a small province in the over 1 billion population got to do with this discussion? Nothing, it’s blatant racism.

    I never thought I’d receive a level-headed response that isn’t going for my neck, thank you.

    I don’t know why everyone doesn’t cut me some slack & at least think maybe I know more than you’s about the situation? Especially when I’m receiving CNN articles as rhetoric. Given my stance on human rights & other issues surely this would completely contradict everything I stand for?
