Apr 4, 2021 Those are what get the most bumps in the caddy these days. Not gonna lie to you, Bandana didn't hit the same way for some reason. Actually would put it below both Alfredo and Fetti.
Apr 5, 2021 Bruh f--- this song lmfao first page and @Jay Zeus just admitted he got banned for life on Twitter. That only happens to stalkers, paedos or people who have committed sexual misconduct and been charged for it IRL omfg lmfao I'm crying
Apr 5, 2021 I like Bandana more than Alfredo and Fetti (really just a matter of preference cuz I love madlib beats) but I agree it's not as good SOAD or Piñata. Part of what made Piñata special I think was that it was uncharted territory. It was Gibbs unapologetically stepping into Madlib's world with neither of them compromising—whereas on Bandana I feel like they were more meeting in the middle since they'd worked together for nearly a decade at that point. Still a great album, but an album like Piñata is something that can't really be replicated.
Apr 5, 2021 if we want to really go there: bandana isn't nearly as good as pinata because bandana is new madlib beats and new madlib beats aren't half as good as old madlib beats
Apr 5, 2021 Tbh, I'm not really a fan of any of Freddie's albums before Piñata. They're just bland to me. I think most of his work post Piñata is solid tho
Apr 5, 2021 Piñata definitely represents a turning point in his career where just kept getting better and better at rapping. His older stuff is def a little harder to get into but try out midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik if you've never heard it, that was the first one that clicked with me.
Apr 5, 2021 I only listened to ESGN and BFK when it comes to his pre piñata stuff, but I'll definitely check out Midwest now that you mention it.
Apr 5, 2021 The idea of you just screaming unfunny jokes into the void is funnier than you’ll ever be. That was a straight 0/10. Bandana actually might be my favorite project of his, like a couple people said already; I just really dig him on madlib beats. As far as the alc projects go, I’d probably go Alfredo > tea > haram > lulu. I do really enjoy Lulu tho, I’m not a huge Conway guy but I do listen to that album a good amount. Love “The Contract”. As far as Freddie goes I’d for sure say his best work his Piñata, but I’ll be d---ed if I didn’t say Alfredo was right there. Was album of the year for me.
Apr 5, 2021 Its crazy that after so many years in the game, you could still make an argument that alchemist is the best producer right now
