    thug was at first absolutely standing on wayne’s shoulders. the test for whether thug himself is influential is this question: are there rappers who are clearly influenced by him but not clearly influenced by wayne? the answer is yes.

    2015 Thug will all the leaks,this record, B6 & Slime Seasons was incredible.

    Maybe one of the greatest year by a hip hop artist even though he didnt have huge mainstream success back then

    Btg? No. Barter 6 is close, very close but is a few cents shy of a dollar

    I always forget about tha tour because it’s quan and thug but yes, I would say it’s a classic TAPE. Tapes and albums are different, at least they were at the time. Regardless, it’s very good

    Wayne is one of the greatest pioneers to ever live but Thug used that foundation to build something entirely different that we’ve already begun to see reverberations from. Easily one of the most influential rappers of the past decade. No one else was rapping like thug until a few years ago.

    I'm very happy to see that you like Thug—but wipe that term from your vocabulary man all it serves to do is devalue music that people don't like because it doesn't fit in the box that they think rap should fit in. Plus if you like the Slime Seasons, you're bound to like some of his other stuff.

    completely disagree with the notion that mixtapes generally or tha tour specifically fall short of some album standard

    I always hated the whole "mumble rap" scene but Slime Season was amazing.







    Slime Season 2 had great songs as well.

    A great song by prime Thugger, but I wouldn't say it capsules everything Thug was good at back then. I always preferred his "weirder", more experimental, best solo songs from that time (Spaghetti Factory, Take Kare, udigg, Pacifier, Been Gettin Racks, Friend Of Scotty, all his metro collabs, etc.)

    If he could hornace this energy he could make a true album that is undoubtedly a classic. As it stands? Thug has 0 classics
