They started off as some nice Mobb Deep / Raekwon karaoke, but I've slowly just gotten bored of Griselda's over saturation at this point.
I do see them trying to branch out more and try different sounds, feels like they are too comfortable hopping on a Daringer production even if the formula isn't necessarily a bad thing. That's partly why I messed with Benny's last one with Hit-Boy, but we'll see if they continue on this path.
Gunn is definitely the weak link but I like all three. The problem with Griselda is the sheer amount of music they release, their sound isn’t varied or experimental enough to carry like 20 albums and a thousand mixtapes every year.
I love Benny, okay with Conway, but I just can’t seem to get behind Gunn, man. His voice is so annoying to me and he’s very obviously the least lyrical of the bunch. Even 327 which is such a good song I feel like he brings it down and is hardly on beat. Can anyone tell me what the appeal is or even post some songs to prove me wrong?

I mean, these guys have evolved ahead of the Ghost/Rae comparisons now. The house of high-art that goes hand and hand with their grimy atmospheric street tales.
WSG is kind of like Curren$y for me, but better...he just sounds great on a beat, makes for good ambience...I can play his projects in any mood and not need to pay attention too much. Plus his gun noises are peak music. Hes also an underrated story teller, he paints movie like scenes in my head like raekwon and gfk used to do.
People seem to have a problem with griselda oversaturation, but they just doing what they do best and giving their core fans what they want....I mean we had no problem when future and thugger were dropping projects like flies in 2014 - 2015 which all had the same sound.
Honestly it reminds me of when Future came out with EVOL, where it's not bad it just doesn't cover any new ground and came at the height of oversaturation.
Same here honestly. Benny is the only one who I’m like “okay this guys good” but I don’t listen to Benny the butcher songs in my spare time, I’d rather just listen to actual 90s classics than the ghost of them
Conway is the best of the three imo
Could just be nostalgia cause he was the first one I got into, but he sounds the most authentic and drops the least.
Disagree, Honest --> Monster --> Beast Mode are all a different sound with DS2 being the culmination of it all, and there's tons of variety within any single Thug album from that time.
