i kind of prefer these periodic specials commenting on the goings on, rather than a regular season. lets them switch up the style/scope without committing to a full --- episodes or the scale of a movie

'South ParQ The Vaccination Special' will air Mar. 10 on Comedy Central.

The citizens of South ParQ are clamoring for the COVID-19 vaccine,' reads the official description for the spectacle. "A hilarious new militant group tries to stop the boys from getting their teacher vaccinated." That reference to Q, of course, promises that the episode will delve into QAnon, the far-right, far-fetched conspiracy-theory movement.

"South Park's The Pandemic Special," will be re-aired an hour before the vaccination special. The pandemic installment — which was the show's first-ever hourlong episode, not to mention, its high-rated episode is seven years with 4.4 million viewers — tore into Donald Trump for his bungled response to the deadly crisis, and depicted the former President (played by Mr. Garrison) as encouraging the coronavirus given that its disproportional impact on people of color. "All I have to do is guide the avalanche in the right direction," he said, "and I'm fulfilling my promise to the American people." The episode also took on police violence and took shots at Disney.

so a new hour long southpark pandemic special airs tonight.
I cant wait for the new season. Im anticipating the best season yet due to all the material they have to work with

Got it recording on the DVR, airs here in an hour but not gonna watch till later on after the basketball game.

Expecting it to be good though, will be nice to finally laugh bout this s--- pandemic we’ve been in..

My DVR is set to record any new south park and doesn't have anything listed for next Wednesday, plus I heard it was just a one off special for now..

Randy kinda teased more specials at the end, but who knows if that was serious or not..I don't think there will be anything new for the time being, but hopefully before the year is over at least.

Thought the episode was good, pretty on par with last season which was really solid overall I thought.

They haven't announced when season 24 will start but I would imagine this "special" would be episode 1 and they'll start up next week. Even the cable guide listed it as the first episode of the season but who knows

Funny episode. Cartman’s song is a straight up mood right now. I don’t think they’re pushing the Douche vs Turd Sandwich narrative this time around. They’re pretty straightforward in saying that Trump is making things worse. They’re critical of the cops, protests, riots, masks, restrictions but it seems they’re pretty clear that Trump is literally setting things on fire.
