    Back then I thought it was a step down from MBDTF and Yeezus. But now that I'm looking back at it, the messy release and hearing half of the songs earlier really had a bad influence on my initial reaction. It is indeed the last great Kanye album, songs like 30 Hours, No More Parties In LA, Real Friends had that extra thing that is missing from his newer music. I hope he can fix this on his next album, Wash Us In The Blood is a promising first single in my opinion.

    While it could have been greater, I think this is ostensibly Kanye's fourth best album.

    I definitely prefer The Weeknd’s rendition of the hook but why he didn’t keep that beat is beyond me. Also that altered voice sample outro on the official release is horrrrrrible lmao

    My initial reaction to this thread was, "yeah it aged like bad wine." But I hadn't listened in years so I gave it another chance. It's definitely better than I remember.

    Honestly, the potential for the TLOP era was so great that it could've single handedly revived Kanye's career and kept him musically on top.

    But the Tidal exclusive release, having to cancel the tour because of hospitalization, and endorsing Trump ended the momentum.

    That said, the album is definitely good and I enjoy it more than Yeezus in all honestly.

    It's got some great highs but the lows are really bad...I can't listen to it as a full album.

    It's not that it's aged line fine wine, it's just good in comparison to the s--- he's released since then. It's still as good/bad as it was when it was released.
