Came here to post Mac Miller, but as usual my brudda Winter delivered the goods

The other obvious one for me is Snoop. This one...speaks for itself lol, his career trajectory is as wild for any rapper that I've ever seen and possibly ever will be.

Edit: Tyler is somewhat relevant in this conversation after looking at how he went from making edgy Supreme hat wearing music in the OFWGKTA days to being a beautiful man on IGOR

I was never a Mac Miller fan (his voice gets to me was my issue) but I can respect the leap he made as an artist post bsp and have an indescribable amount of respect for him as an artist and all he’s done. From frat rapper to one of the most interesting rappers of our time. There’s a reason everyone f----- with him, he really is your favourite rappers favourite rapper. Rest In Peace pal

ya i mean he always goes against the grain:

1. producer who wants to rap
2. pink polo/backpack during gangsta era
3. using orchestras and electronic music
4. the whole 808 album following his breakup, and perhaps the biggest moment, mothers death
5a. public enemy #1 - george bush doesnt care about black people
5b. public enemy #2 - taylor swift
6. the descent into hedonism - mbdtf, wtt, yeezus (increasingly grand, and provocative)
7. marriage, descent into self parody and caricture
8. full embrace of christianity in music, the red hat MAGA minstrel s---

each one is a refraction point imo. him rebelling against something either in music or in IRL. but at a glimpse, going from the bright kid who produced H to the Izzo, to peeing on his grammy on twitter is quite startling. sad.
