That’s what I was going to bring up. I think this is the last wu album I actively listened to front to back. Normally I hate using “sequels” as a way to say “hey guys remember X? Yeah this is another one! Buy the album!” But this joint got the feeling right. Amazing start to finish. New Wu is up there for wu tang songs for me also, but that’s just a personal thingOrdinary Joel, lil uzi vert stan, Fire Squad and 2 others like this. -

Remarkable album, didn’t think Chef at that point in time had it in him to rekindle the flames. They really had us believing it was 95’ again, with a twist this time as the outside production was marvelous to say the least. Sad to think it’s the last truly great solo Wu albumOrdinary Joel, Worm, Jeans and 2 others like this. -

About the only time that any rapper has ever dropped a direct sequel to a classic album that's lived up to its name.Ordinary Joel, Ricky and Jeans like this. -

I know, with RZA at least he's been doing some behind the scenes stuff and still had random production credits on some songs, remember White Dress with Ye?
Darn I wish m--- Lab was better. Like, vastly better. Too many bland guest verses weighed down the album, a real shame cause m--- was cooking.Ordinary Joel, Ricky and lil uzi vert stan like this. -

I liked some of Ghost’s work this decade, like @Enez mentioned Twelve Reasons to Die was a surprisingly good late career album and I liked parts of Sour Soul. Thing with 2010s Ghost is the energy isn’t there like it once was, there used to be a powerful synergy with his imagination combining with the avant-garde production. These days it’s like he’s huffing to keep up with the beat, granted it’s in certain parts and perhaps I’m holding him to unfairly high standards that I always expect from Ghost.
Outside of that everything else has been either solid or middling from the other Wu members. Admittedly Deck did have a nice run with Czarface, their first album was pretty nice.Ordinary Joel, RetiredAccount and Ricky like this.Jun 15, 2026 - Jun 15, 2026
