    It's hard to have an accurate measurement for this because both got really popular right before the transition to streaming when free mixtapes and pirating music was still the law of the land.

    Part of this is definitely regional—in the PNW Kendrick is/was leagues more popular than French. Both of them were popping when I was college and I heard GKMC cuts much more than anything with French on it besides Stay Schemin. French certainly has or was on more actual club records but I think Kendrick has more cross-genre appeal.

    Regardless, both the forced kendrick hate and the ignorant French hate is wack. People are so afraid of being called dusty that they hate on an album like d--- (???) and the other half of people won't even give French a chance because they think they're somehow above him. It's OK to see value in both of them lol.

    Wrong, stay schemin barely popped here. Globally all the kendricks songs listed did though. Too much even.
